The Old Stone House, in association with Slippery Rock University, has been preserving and celebrating the history of Butler County and western Pennsylvania for more than four decades.
Our support group The Friends of the Old Stone House plays an instrumental role in providing financial support and volunteer work from community members interested in state and local history. A membership with The Friends of the Old Stone House will entitle you to receive invitations to special “Friends Only” events, complimentary copies of the Old Stone House Newsletter showcasing upcoming events, and 10% off all Old Stone House souvenirs and gift items.

Looking for a unique way to advertise your business? The Old Stone House is pleased to offer this sponsorship opportunity. Interested business owners can sponsor any or all of our Special Events throughout the year. As an event sponsor, the Old Stone House will proudly display a banner with your business information on it during the entire event. Old Stone House Special Events draw crowds from all around Western PA and the surrounding areas, but the majority of visitors are from right here in Butler County. I recently saw that you were going to have a cooking show for May 15. I found out that this date was cancelled so I am inquiring about when it will be coming up in the future. Please keep me posted as my mother and I are looking forward to coming and participating.

We have a number of small souvenirs and items, including Stone House Christmas ornaments, window suncatchers, etc. and also a few publications, especially our recently reprinted “Journals of George Washington and Christopher Gist, 173-54″ All of these are available at the Stone House. Thanks!
