The Old Stone House will once again host its “Spooky Stories” Halloween festivities this fall, with plenty of thrills and chills for visitors of all ages. This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday October 27, 2011 and Friday October 28, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm.
The Old Stone House will offer interactive storytelling, historical reenactments, and paranormal investigation – also known as “ghost-hunting.” A “Haunted Trail” behind the house will feature a frightening walk through the woods of the Old Stone House.
On Friday, the “Spooky Stories” program will host its second annual costume contest! Judging will take place outside the snack shack at 7:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place costumes. Last year, kids of all ages paraded the Old Stone House grounds in costume, showcasing their creativity!
Concessions will be provided by SRU history students for a nominal price.
